Yep, many Christian women (and men) like to dance around this issue. Obviously God’s design only works when the man himself is filled with the love of Christ and submitted to Him. Our western culture has approached the Bible for years with an attitude that we know better than God. This has in turn infected Christians.

Its obvious to me, that while this post is truth, its sugar-coated truth. Every woman I know that loves Christ finds it hard to put a career before her role as wife/mother. The Holy Spirit leads us all in the same direction because the Spirit comes from One God. I find it funny that Lion prides never change their gender roles nor feel a need to; even when things go array. Don’t we trust enough in God’s word that even when one man abuses his role that doesn’t mean that we need to rebel against the whole idea of the role – that comes from Satan. “Changing gender roles” is NOT OKAY. God designed men to be His image of protector, leader, and the source of all things. God designed women to be His image of provider of nourishment and the producers. But the mystery of it is- a woman’s role is subject to the needs of her husband, yet the man’s role is subject to the needs of his wife, the bible says so. We can’t just say, “men rule over their wives, end of story” because that is NOT the end of the story. That’s just the beginning… 🙂
