In reply to Long Ladies. Thank you. :) I too have struggled with this issue as a Christian. I see so many who still feel the need to put themselves down even though God's Word is clear that we have been forgiven and transformed in Him. He gave us a new identity that is extremely valuable! :)

It is so refreshing to see a Godly take on self-worth. This has been my argument for the entire ‘let’s build ourselves up’ mentality. Thank you for studying this and sharing your nuggets of truth. 🙂

I agree. Being humble doesn’t mean putting ourselves down or feeling bad about ourselves. We can have confidence in who we are because of Christ.

Your message is so true – we need to see ourselves how HE sees us! The day I truly understood down to my soul-toes that I was a daughter of the king – and what that meant – well, it changed my life and the view of who I am. What an encouraging message you have given us!

Wow, this is so powerful! It’s true – we take “pride” in not being “prideful”, in being lowly. Thanks for sharing the word study about our identity. What a cool truth – “you are” is equated with good things, while “you were” describes the sinner.

I wholeheartedly agree with, Alyssa. We are God’s treasure and I think too many people, especially women, don’t grasp the fullness of that because they believe their worth is found in other things. When those things fail or disappoint us, then our worth goes with them. But are value in Christ is immeasurable and He truly prizes us, especially when we prize Him. Most likely those that tote themselves as incredible apart from Him have a few other issues to deal with too. 😉 Blessed to be your downstairs neighbor at #coffeeforyourheart.
